Admittedly it does feel good to receive this award and to be recognised for all my hard work! Over these past 12 years, I have made it my mission to reinterpret our local culture with a modern aesthetic creating vibrant artworks and a series of useful yet distinctive products for our every day life. I would like to think that my particular focus on the Maltese Patterned Tiles, our traditional Doors and more recently the Wrought Iron designs of our façades and homes, have made us much more aware of the beauty around us that we need to preserve for generations to come.

A heartfelt thanks goes to all who support me and my art in whatever way they can. I pray that I will continue adding joy and colour to our homes and spaces with my drawings and works of functional art. Thank you also to Lovin Malta and to Manouche for sponsoring this category.
