Winner of the Best Creative Enterprise Award by Malta Arts Council

Stephanie Borg ® has been awarded the Best Creative Enterprise Award for 2022 by Malta Arts Council.

This year’s winners of the annual Premju għall-Arti organised by Arts Council Malta, have been announced during an awards night at Fort St Angelo, Birgu on Wednesday 15 June.

This is the fifth edition of the Arts Awards and follows 2 years of virtual awards due to the pandemic. For this year’s edition Arts Council Malta has received over 100 nominations. For each category the nominations were short-listed to 3 finalists out of which a winner will be announced during the awards night.

 

Stephanie Borg is a designer brand founded in 2008. Inspired by Maltese culture and heritage, the artist & surface pattern designer has created and developed over eight collections with over 450 products. Her passion and perseverance was key in the revival of how we perceive and enjoy key artistic interpretations inspired from Maltese heritage and way of life. Her vast and vibrant portfolio have pioneered in the revival of Malta tile patterns, Maltese Doors, Maltese Wrought Iron pattern designs which can be enjoyed everyday on various product mediums such as wall art & decor, homeware, tableware, soft furnishings, accessories, stationery, gifting and garden furniture.

Her creativity has also developed the local market for locally inspired gifting and homeware collections which started over 14 years ago. Her brand is now perceived as a mark of quality for authentic Maltese products. She also acts as an inspiration to young artists who seek the motivation to take the leap into this challenging market.
