Anġelika 100% Silk Scarf Limited Edition

“My heart has always resonated with the presence of angels. These celestial messengers have forever embodied a spirit of guidance and companionship that I wanted to express creatively.

It was amidst the intricately carved stonework that adorns the arches of St Mary of Jesus (Ta’ Ġieżu) Church in Valletta that the idea for a unique scarf design began to unfurl, bringing together the earthly elegance of the stone with the celestial grace of angelic inspiration.”

Anġelika is a unique collaboration that graces the present and holds the brushstrokes of the past. At the heart of this collaboration between the Franciscan Friars and the artist, lies the restoration of a painting by Maltese artist Salvatore Micallef (1810-1891) entitled ‘Our Lady of Grace’ . The painting depicts the Virgin and Child Enthroned in the centre of the composition, flanked on either side by two angels. The style of the painting is reminiscent of pre-Renaissance art and thus instead refers to the Gothic period.

By choosing Anġelika, you are not merely adorning yourself with elegance but you will be contributing to the conservation of art and heritage. From every purchase, €15 will be donated towards the restoration of this painting and Stephanie will donate the same amount, ensuring that the timeless depiction of angels endures for generations to come.

In our quest to embody the celestial essence of Anġelika, we are thrilled to introduce the ethereal voice of Soprano Dorothy Baldacchino. Dorothy’s specialization in baroque sacred music brings a profound authenticity to our artistic endeavour, as her voice resonates with the same timeless elegance found in the sacred spaces that inspired Anġelika’s conception.

As you wrap yourself in Anġelika, may the serenity of the celestial designs offer you warmth and accompany you on your life’s journey.
